Hero System for Time2

Hero-System was developed according to the ideas of Dr. K. Hero Breuning from Netherlands

A few major features are:

• Time2 brackets
• DB Tubes upper bicuspids & lower 2nd bicuspids
• LP tubes upper and lower 6 and 7
• The Hero-System is a ‘differential friction system’ meaning the Time2 is a combination of: Active-passive(.020) in the anterior region (Full Time2) and Fully passive in the posterior region
• Round wires; no friction (full sliding mechanics)
• Rectangular wires; more friction compared to Damon (anterior anchorage)
• Optimal sliding in the molar/premolar region(extraction cases and retraction upper incisors)
• Optimal control in the upper and lower incisal/cuspid region (Class II2,crowded lower-incisors, correction root of 12 and 22)
• Less protrusion of the lower incisors (due to the increased friction in the anterior lower)

• Full Time2 setup on ‘one patient’ bonding tray
• One set of wires (.014 Niti, .016 x .025 Niti, .019 x .025 SS)
• Including bracket opening/closing instruments and pliers (V-bend and stop pliers)
• Stops and surgical hooks
